Jack Whitmore is William Bernard's brother, and father of John. We have yet to discover which battalion he served with, but we know he arrived in France on 27th March 1915, and we suspect he enlisted in Birmingham, presumably in one of the Pals Battalions. The address given here refers to the Motor Transport Army Service Corps, 328 Company. Unfortunately we've been unable to read William's writing which refers to the division he was attached to, and as yet haven't checked the records at the PRO.
